Warren Families and Community Members ~

As we all anticipate the start of the new school year, programming and process are close to being finalized but not quite done. I know this is unsettling for many of you. This year is already proving to be one which will require all of us to be able to pivot, at a moments notice. As we have already shared with staff, our ability to pivot will be the critical skill which will define our success this year. As we ask for your patience as we finalize our 2020-2021 planning, know our planning, design and implementation are guided by being able to P2.I.V.O.T. (Providing Purposeful Instruction which Values and Optimizes Teamwork) to best serve y/our students in this C-19 environment. As parents, you are a critical member of our team. We will all need to work together to ensure y/our students have a successful year, irrespective of the challenges that lie ahead. We will get through this together!

Mr. Burton and I anticipate we will be able to provide class assignments for in-person instruction, the process and programming for DLI students, how we will onboard your student(s), and the framework for our daily schedule in Phases 0, 1, 2, 3 (one can hope!) and DLI no later than this time next week. As a reminder, the week of August 24 – 28 will be used to provide professional development and planning with our staff members. The week of August 31- September 4 will serve as our student/family onboarding week. September 8 will be the first day of class. At this time we believe we will start in Phase 1, but Dr. Ream will make the final decision as we approach September 8, dependent on C-19 trending in our community.

Again, thank you for your patience. Mr. Burton and I will be back in touch soon. Do not hesitate to reach out.

Stay well,
Mr. Burton and Mrs. Wilkins
